Fall Mite League
The Fall Mite League is designed for Mites/ 8U is designed to prep C Mites/ 8U and above for the upcoming hockey season evaluations. Fall season will consist of 60 skaters and 4 goalies, there are opportunities for practice players if desired and D Mites/ 8U are welcome to be a practice player.
Games are all FULL ICE! with referees. There will be announcers to let know who got that goal and assist. Can't forget the music either!
GOALIES will be offered 2 hours of practice. Goalies have the option to attend both practice sessions. They will be able to practice with their teams as well as having an on ice mentor to work with them on their skills.
Teams will practice together with our lead instructor and team coaches. Practices are designed to challenge all players not only on skating drills, positional play so new players understand their positions on the ice.
The season consists of 6 practices and 8 games. There is a beginning of the season 1 hour evaluation for full time players only, if we feel that your player is not able to keep up, they may be asked to be a practice player.
Ages
Ages are for Mites 8U that will play Mites/ 8U for the 2026-2027 season. If you are moving up to Squirts, you are not eligible for this program.

When
The season runs from July 13th to September 1st
Full time player evaluation will be June 23rd. Group 1 will be at 6pm and group 2 will be at 7:10.
Practice players do not attend the evaluation.
Where
All events will take place at the Furniture and Things Community Center.
Practices
Practices are typically on Kiser rink and will be on Mondays at 5pm and 6:15pm.
Games
Games are Tuesdays on the Cornerstone rink. Ice times are roughly at 5pm and 6:10pm.
Jerseys
Jerseys and socks will be provided for the season. Jersey pick up will be at the parent meeting.
Parent Meeting
There will be a parent meeting held before the season starts.

Frequently Asked Questions
- This program is open to players from all associations; this is not an Elk River specific program.
- What if my player is a first-year skater or D Mite?
- Skaters should be at the C Mite Level to keep the level of play competitive.
- D Mites are welcome to participate as a practice skater. They get the same practice experience as the full-time players and skate at the same time.
